The Boscobel Education Foundation was established to provide scholarships primarily to graduates of Boscobel High School. The Education Foundation proudly now provides scholarships to graduating seniors at Boscobel, Riverdale, Seneca, and Wauzeka-Steuben High Schools. Our scholarships allow students to pursue post-secondary education at the college of their choice.

The number of scholarships offered each year will continue to increase as the fund grows.

RECEIVING SCHOLARSHIP

- Student will be notified of their award at the end of May of the application year.
- Recipients will receive scholarship money for the first semester of college.
- Scholarship money will be sent directly to the college.

Boscobel High School - General Scholarships

Scholarship Criteria

- - Boscobel High School graduating senior planning to attend a college or university OR student in good academic standing planning to enroll full time in a college or university their senior year.
  - All students are encouraged to apply.
  - Students planning on enrolling in an apprenticeship program are not eligible.

Previous Year’s Scholarship Award Amount: $1300

Scholarship award amounts are based on the previous year’s award amount and either remain the same or increase based on available funds and number of scholarship applications.

The award amount for the current year will be announced at your high school’s annual scholarship awards ceremony.

Scholarship Application Requirements:

  - ESSAY: In 500 words or less state your future educational and career goals. Explain why you feel you should be considered for a scholarship and include all pertinent information including achievements, school/community involvement, unusual circumstances as to why this scholarship would benefit you (e.g. financial need such as multiple family members in college; personal or family health issues; etc.)
  - Resume: Submit a resume detailing your achievements, school/community involvement, etc.

Boscobel High School - OMAN Multi-Year Scholarships

The Everett C. Oman Memorial Scholarship is a multi-year scholarship valued at $1,300 per year, designed to honor the legacy of Everett C. Oman by supporting students from Boscobel High School pursuing degrees in STEM fields. This scholarship will be awarded annually on behalf of the Boscobel Education Foundation. Each year the Foundation will select up to three applicants planning to attend a university and 3 applicants planning to attend a technical college. Applicants not selected for the multi-year scholarship will automatically be eligible for a traditional Oman scholarship and do not need to submit a separate application.

Scholarship Criteria

- - Graduating seniors from Boscobel High School.
  - Must enroll in a STEM program at a state-supported, non-denominational school.
  - Students attending a technical college are eligible for up to four years of funding if they plan to transfer to a university.
  - Students attending a four-year institution are eligible for up to four years of funding.

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on:

- - Financial need
  - Academic achievements
  - School and community involvement.

  - Letter of Recommendation: Provide one letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or community leader.
  - Resume: Submit a resume detailing your achievements, school/community involvement, etc.

Renewal Requirements

- Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher.
- Students must submit an unofficial transcript each year, showing completed courses and proof of registration for the following term, to demonstrate continued eligibility no later than June 30 each year.

- - Riverdale or Wauzeka-Steuben High School graduating senior planning to attend a college or university OR student in good academic standing planning to enroll full time in a college or university their senior year.

  - Student must attend an accredited, state-supported, non-denominational post-secondary college or tech school.
